Rules & Regulations for exhibiting are those outlined in “Judging and Exhibiting Standards for Horticultural Shows” available from Alberta Agriculture.
ENTRANTS:
(a) JUNIOR - 12 years old & under / 13 to 17 years
(b) ADULT - 18 years & over
ALL EXHIBITS to be grown by the exhibitor.
Flowers such as begonias, marigolds, pansies and petunias should be displayed in a flat, shallow container covered with foil, please add water.
Any baskets with or without a handle is acceptable.
DO NOT USE FILLER unless specified.
****Entries will be disqualified if exhibit contains more or less than the number of items specified! Horticultural name should be named.****
Gladioli are shown with stems attached, supported or in a narrow neck container. Lillies should have as long a stem as possible with some leaves attached.
Exhibitors must provide their own containers for fruit, vegetables, and cut flowers. Only in the arrangements with the containers be judged.
Check for the correct number of flowers and fruits.
All vegetables samples should be clean ( but not scrubbed) and free of blemish and damage.
The decision of the judge is final.
